I was walking down a corridor facing the road. The stores facing the road in Myo Ma Market in Thanlyin are all clothing stores, toy stores, and the like, and none of them sell fresh food. It seems as if such stores are supposed to do business inside the market.
Perhaps because there are no stores selling fresh food, there are few people walking along the corridor. It is no wonder that not many people buy clothes or toys on a weekday afternoon. The shopkeepers were waiting for customers to come in, looking bored and not doing anything. The girl in the photo is one of those who had nothing to do.
The girl was sitting on a plastic chair in a deserted corridor. She was clad in pretty clothes because she worked in a clothing store. The two-tone pink and dark blue colors are quite vibrant. If you look closely, you can see ribbons attached here and there on her clothes. She must be a fashionable girl. When I pointed the camera at her, she smiled shyly.
