Walking along the main road running through the middle of Bago, I found something I rarely see in Yangon. Motorcycles were parked on the side of the road. Of course, there are many motorcycles in Japan and other Southeast Asian countries. However, because the authorities have banned motorcycles in Yangon to ease traffic congestion, they are rarely seen in the city. I guess that regulation does not apply outside of Yangon. In Bago, motorcycles were lined up proudly on the side of the road. Motorcycles are much cheaper than four-wheeled cars. Motorization begins with the spread of motorcycles to the common people.
A man in a tank top was standing next to a parked motorcycle. He must be the owner of the bike. When he noticed me, he started looking at me curiously with his mouth half open. I guess he was wondering why a foreign tourist was pointing a lens at him. Unfortunately, there is no particular reason.
