After touring the sights, I returned to the center of town. I walked along the main road where automobiles were running. But there were not that many cars, and I did not see a single traffic light around where I was walking. In the meantime, I was approaching a place where two pickup trucks were parked on the side of the road.
These trucks were not trucks that transported cargo. They are buses that carry passengers. They have seats attached to the back of the truck, and the passengers sit down on the seats to go to their destinations. Such buses are not uncommon in Myanmar, and locals often travel short distances in buses converted from pickup trucks. The fact that the bus is parked here means that this place must be a bus stop. However, there is nothing to indicate that this is a bus stop, and it is difficult for a stranger to recognize it as such. It would be cheaper and more enjoyable to get around using this kind of local transportation and to be close to the locals, but it is a bit difficult to do so.
