A pond was built in the courtyard and the flowers of lotus bloomed in it. The major religion in this country is Buddhism. In Buddhist symbolism, the lotus represents purity of the body, speech, and mind as if floating above the muddy waters of attachment and desire.
This town was developed with the tourism industry and the locals was getting paid a bloody fortune. I hoped they didn't forget a sense of charity also in the future.
