The chai stand I saw in Murshidabad was crowded with locals. This place seemed to be a social gathering place. Or perhaps the chai served at this stand was excellent. The man with the mustache in this photo was one of the many customers at the stand.
He was holding a glass cup in his hand and drinking chai. His glasses were in his breast pocket. Maybe he was taking off his glasses to stretch his wings a bit.
As the man in this photo was holding, when you order chai in West Bengal, the chai is often served in a glass cup. In the state of Maharashtra, where Mumbai is located, chai is served in unglazed cups at all chai stands, so it seems that the type of container used to serve chai varies from region to region.
