Flower Of Lotus In A Jar

flower of lotus in jar

The flower was blooming

Shot in the city of Tokoname, Aichi.

A big jar was placed in front of a shop. Some leaves were floating on the surface and a flower of lotus was blooming.

Its country of origin is India. Perhaps, it came to this country along with Buddhism. Because the lotus have close ties to the religion. It blooms beautifully even in the muddy water. And the appearance is thought it expresses the knowledge and the mercy of Buddha. In fact, the lotus in this photo didn't seem to care the narrowness where it was.
