Walking down the street in Bangkok, I saw a high school girl. She was wearing a school uniform with a big ribbon on her chest. As I was gazing at her, I noticed that the girl was also looking at me. I asked the girl to let me take her photo since we made eye contact, but when she looked at the camera, she was shy and hid behind a concrete pillar. All I could hear was the girl's laughter and I couldn't quite get the lens in the girl's face. I tried to go around the pillar from the right or left, but the girl slipped away.
In the meantime, the girl suddenly popped her head out of the pillar and stood in front of the camera. She might have been taken aback by the fact that I had been running around in a circle with a camera in my hand. The girl smiles adorably as I hold the camera up. Her hair, brushed back with her fingers, was swaying in the wind.
It's said that Thailand is the land of smiles, but there aren't many people who give me a firm smile like this girl does.
