Unfortunately, Wat Mangkon Kamalawat in Bangkok's Chinatown was in the middle of construction, so I walked through the temple grounds and out. Although I was able to visit the temple, the busy temple grounds with scaffolding were not suitable for spending time in a daze. I went out to Rama IV Street, which runs in front of the temple.
As soon as I started walking down Rama IV Street, I saw a truck parked on the side of the road. There was a woman standing on the back of the truck with boxes of grapes piled up beside her. The woman was selling grapes. Thailand is a tropical country in Southeast Asia. Fruits are sold everywhere in town.
However, it was rare to see grapes for sale. Compared to mangoes, guavas, dragon fruits, etc., grapes are not so popular. I, too, would rather eat mangoes and dragon fruits, which are rare in Japan, than grapes, which are not rare in Japan, since I am in a tropical country. I could not move my appetite when I saw the piles of grapes. I hurriedly left the place.
