When I passed through the street that had been turned into an open-air market in Yangon, I found myself on a busy boulevard. Cars were running on the road, and cars were parked on both sides of the road. Since the use of motorcycles is prohibited in Yangon, only four-wheeled vehicles are parked on the street. Some are private cars and some are small trucks for business use.
When I came to a light truck parked on the side of the road, I noticed a boy in the back of the truck. The boy, wearing a hat, had his feet on the back footrests, and was flopping around. He looked quite relaxed. The back of the truck was empty and the boy was all that was left. The cargo that was here must have already been transported and sold somewhere else. Perhaps the boy is staying at home in the light truck while his parents are at work.
In any case, the boy seemed to be bored. When he noticed me, he did not change his posture and was smiling shyly. When I looked closer, I saw that the boy was holding an umbrella under his arm despite the fine weather.
