Walking out of central Yangon again, I soon came to an open-air market. There were many stalls on the street, and the road was occupied by them. Cars are not allowed to pass through here. Every stall had a table with a variety of goods on it.
There is a large building nearby that houses a local market, but the vendors at this open-air market probably chose to sell their goods on the street instead of setting up store inside. Or maybe they wanted to go inside, but they just couldn't.
Perhaps the building was too small to accommodate all of the many traders inside, and an open-air market naturally formed on a nearby street. In any case, the food looks much better in the sunlight than in a dimly lit building. The street vendors must have made a good choice.
