The streets in the downtown of Yangon follow a grid pattern. It also is good with directions for travelers. I was coming closer to my hotel surely and steadily without seeing a map. The area where I stayed was in Chinatown. Like other big cities in the Southeastern countries, there was also a Chinatown and many Chinese abroad lived here. It was not common to see signboards written in Chinese characters here. I thought the world was filled with Chinese people in the near future.
Walking a street in the Chinatown, I saw many street vendors doing business by the roadside. All of them put baskets on the ground and sold various fruits in the dimness. The place looked like a fruit market. The scenery in which many street vendors were in-line was spectacular. Watching them, I happened to look up. Then, I found Sule Pagoda at the end of the street. It was lighted up and glittering in the darkness.
