A pedestrian bridge is spanned over Koshu Kaido. It is a National Route which was originally built by Tokugawa Shogunate and connects Tokyo and Yamanashi Prefecture.
I stopped on the bridge and watched the traffic running below my eyes. The route was used through the ages. Once it was occupied by the walkers. Yet the leading character on the road was superseded by the automobiles. In this day and age, there were no travelers who went on foot.
