Erawan Shrine, a small Hindu shrine in Bangkok, is very popular with local people. Whenever I come here, many worshippers were seen around the golden Brahma statue stationed in the center of the shrine.

Most of the worshippers devoted flowers and candles in the altar. So the altar which surrounded the statue was occupied by these offerings, which were sold in the precinct.

Some people seem not to be satisfied only by devoting offerings and flowers. And it is also available to devote dancing to the deity here.

There is a roofed place on the edge of the precinct. And some women wearing traditional costumes are standing by. If any worshipper wants to devote dancing, they dance to devote.

When I hung out there, two women came to the place and started to pray. And the dressed women started to dance on the other side of the worshippers at the same time.

I think the deity can prefer dancing by beautiful women to flowers and candles.
