There is an unusual laundromat in Gakugei Daigaku called FREDDY LECK sein WASCHSALON. There are many other laundromats in the neighborhood, but this one is completely different. It is a stylish and practical laundromat.
Coin laundromats are usually located next to public bathhouses, where people who don't have washing machines at home do their laundry, but there is nothing like that here. The simply designed interior is stylish and has an atmosphere that makes you think that even if you have a washing machine at home, your laundry will be even cleaner if you wash it here.
Not only that. What I think is most unique about this place is that there is also a café inside the store. While the laundry is being finished, you can have a cup of coffee and read a book. The name "salon" in the name of the shop means that it is not just a laundromat, but also a salon for the community.
It was already late at night when I took this picture. The café was already closed. But I could see people doing their laundry at the place where the washing machines were set up, just beyond the fence.
