The cat drew itself to its full height when it noticed some figures coming

The shopping mall, located at the end of an alleyway in Jakarta, was deserted, with only the occasional person passing by when I was loitering around the main entrance. When I talk about shopping malls, there are many places that give off an atmosphere of selling not only goods but also dreams, but this mall did not have such a joyful atmosphere. It was as if the mall was advertising that it was selling goods but not dreams.

Instead of a few people, the deserted streets were a good place for cats to relax and enjoy themselves. There are many cats in Jakarta, and the places where the atmosphere is a bit loose are often the places for cats. For these greedless cats, a peaceful atmosphere must have been much more comfortable than a glamorous one.

The cat in this photo was also lying down in the middle of the passage. When I came near it, it just cast an eye on me and wouldn't run away. They didn't think of me as someone who would do them harm. Even such a cat became wary of some figures, waking up when they appeared in the distance.

The people coming from the other side may be people who, unlike me, could do the cat harm. The cat's back seemed to be tense with the creeping danger.
