Walking around the village near the Oak Pho Su station, I found that the only people who showed interest in me and made a fuss were the livestock, and the residents were quite calm. There were no children here who would run up to me even if they saw me walking around with a camera. I walked silently through the village by myself. At the edge of the village was a pond, probably formed by rainwater, with a large tree by its side and a house built on stilts. A boy in his school uniform was playing on the front porch.
As soon as I came here, my eyes locked with the boy's. Despite this, the boy, who had been crouching down, scrambled up and ran into the house before I could ask him to let me take his picture. He was quite quick. And the boy was looking at me from inside the dimly lit room. It seems that the boy recognized me as a person with whom he should not have much to do. Well, it is true that an adult who is strolling around with a camera in his hand in the afternoon on a weekday is a person who is not to be considered a person to be messed with.
