The Sunken Garden on the basement floor of Tokyo Opera City in Hatsudai is, according to WIKIPEDIA, an "ancient Greek amphitheatre-style plaza" built of masonry, in one corner of which stands a monument to a giant by the artist Jonathan Borovsky. Looking in from above, the giant is indeed standing there as if threatening the people in the theatre-like square. But the WIKIPEDIA article is disturbing. It seems as if something violent is about to begin.
It can't be helped that the Sunken Garden is circular, but is this place really meant to resemble an amphitheatre? An amphitheatre is a facility where gladiatorial contests and other spectacles were held in ancient Rome. In other words, it was the place where gladiators fought each other, or gladiators and beasts of prey fought each other. Despite the name 'theatre', it is not surprising that a giant with no facial expression standing in what is essentially a bloody place would give the impression of an unusual atmosphere, although the writer of the WIKIPEDIA article probably imagined it as a theatre, a place where mimes, choruses and speeches were performed in ancient Greece and Rome. It is called the Greek or Roman Theatre. They must have misunderstood.
