There was only one window on the wall of the Buddhist temple. The decorated window was open. In contrast to the tin roofs, the windows at Wat Xieng Jai in Muang Sing, were beautifully decorated.
From a Japanese point of view, it is a little surprising that a Buddhist temple would use tin roofs, which may be sturdy but give the impression of being crude. The image of a sacred temple with a tin roof would be tarnished at once. However, this kind of feeling itself is a Japanese thing, and Laotians may not feel that way.
