After leaving the small village by the tracks, we returned to Oak Pho Su Station. As usual, there was no train in sight, and only a few people could be seen on the platform. This is a completely rural station. I didn't check the timetable, but I didn't think there were many trains coming into this station.
The tracks were straight across the long, narrow platform. Even the untrained eye can see that it is distorted. It was enough to make me worry that the train might derail if it picked up speed. Looking at the platform, there were a large number of benches, more than the number of passengers. Here and there, local people were sitting down and relaxing. Some were lying down, others were napping. Rather than waiting for the train to come, they seemed to be relaxing in a place of rest and relaxation.
As I gazed at this scene, I noticed a young couple sitting side by side on one of the benches. The girl was looking sad and downcast, and the boy was comforting her, holding her in both hands. Perhaps they had just had a quarrel.
