According to temple legend, Jurin-in Temple was founded in the Nara period (710-794) by Asano no Nakai, the eldest son of Kibi no Makibi, the Minister of Right, after receiving the former palace of Emperor Gensho. The main hall, designated as a national treasure, was also built during the Kamakura period. It was a simple main hall with the atmosphere of a rich farmer's house, without a trace of dignity.
On that particular day, a Buddha perfusion ceremony was being held in the main hall. People were sitting on chairs in front of the main hall, and monks were performing a ceremony inside the main hall. Probably because it was something he had never seen before, a child leaned forward to watch the ceremony.
