Kyauktan is one of the major tourist attractions in Yangon. Yet I have never seen foreign tourists when I was there. Alternatively, I saw many worshipers coming to the famous Buddhist temple built in the river. Although it didn't have a long history, it seemed to be widely worshipped. The boy in this photo could come here to pray with his parents.
He played alone on the riverside. Looking closer, he had some wood sticks in his hands. He might play collecting wood sticks scattered around. Because he could collect enough number of the sticks, he seemed to be satisfied. When I focused on him, he turned his smirk of satisfaction to my camera. For him, it could be much important to collect wood sticks than to pray the famous temple.
