Long Sarees Hung Outside The Window

Saree hung from window

The sarees were drying out and drooped down

Shot in the city of Bungamati, Nepal.

A pole was hung in the air in front of a bricked house. And some laundries were hung down from it. The pole was a washing pole. Some pairs of trousers, some shirts, and some long cloths were seen. When I saw this kind of scene, I felt I watched the ordinary lives of ordinary people.

There were long textiles among the dried laundries. They were sarees. Although I saw many laundries during walking around the residential area, I saw no laundrymen in this town. Local people seemed to wash clothes by themselves.
