Many butchers were doing business in a corner of the Khlong Toei Market. It was difficult to know where a shop began and ended for me. For all I knew, the only a shop did business here. The tables were occupied by various meats and many people worked on the other side of the tables. I thought no meat was unobtainable here.
The woman in this photo was one of the workers here. She had a knife in her hand and cut meat into pieces. Although she didn't cast an eye on me, she knew what I did. And she stopped moving while I released the shutter.
Taking a closer look, I found something white was painted on her cheeks. It could be Thanaka, a face paste which was popular in Myanmar. It was the first time to see people who painted Thanaka in Thailand for me. According to an article, the paste was now cool in this country.
