One of the most popular attractions at Aqua Park Shinagawa was a tank with jellyfish floating around inside. Of course, being an aquarium, there are other creatures on display as well, but few can match the glittering, illuminated jellyfish. There are not many creatures with weapons that can compete with the glitter.
I walked upstairs past the jellyfish rumble, where there were many jellyfish on display, and found that the jellyfish-free exhibit was equally empty of people. I stopped in front of a tank with sea anemones, wondering why so few people were interested in anything other than jellyfish.
They didn't float around like jellyfish, but instead their outstretched tentacles drifted in the water. As I watched the countless tentacles wobbling about, I felt as if I were being beckoned. It's dangerous. If I were in the same ocean, I would be at the mercy of the sea anemone. The poison in the tentacles might paralyze me and I might find myself in the sea anemone's stomach.
