There is a vast square in front of the Shinagawa station. It is surrounded by the buildings and their shadows fell down on the square. I was standing on the pedestrian bridge and watching the square without doing nothing. It was not a weekday. The square was not crowded. People were trickling to the square. Most of them didn't stop in the square. The square was just a passage.
In the meantime, I found a young mother stopping in the square. And her little daughter was before her. The girl was running over to the mother. Both of them were spreading their arms. After a short while, the girl jumped into her mother's outstretched arms.
