I walked out from the viewing platform of the Sungai Palas Tea Estate, one of the BOH tea plantations, in Cameron Highlands and walked into the seemingly endless tea fields. As I gazed at the tea plantation, I could see people plucking tea leaves in various parts of the spacious field, and I wanted to get a closer look at their work.
From a distance, it was obvious where the people were, but when I got closer, it was difficult to see where they were. It took a lot of trial and error to get there. Still, I managed to get to a man who was picking tea leaves and set up my camera.
The man with a mustache was packing the tea leaves he had picked into a large bag. I could see that there were many tea leaves in the bag. The tea fields on the slope were huge. It stretched as far as the eye could see. Collecting all the tea leaves in such a vast tea field by hand is a dizzying task. But maybe I'm the only one who thinks so. There was not the slightest hint of a sense of foreboding on the man's face.
