I was wandering around the observation deck of Taipei 101. This entire floor is an observation deck, and you can look all the way around. No other building in Taipei boasts such a height, so the view is outstanding. We could see the whole Taipei cityscape from here.
All the tourists seemed to be enjoying the view below. Among them, there were many people taking pictures with their smartphones in their hands. Since the spread of smartphones, the act of taking pictures seems to have become more familiar than ever before. And with that, the number of photos people take must have increased incredibly.
The two women in the photo were also standing by the window taking pictures. But where to point the camera is up to the individual. Even if you see the same scene, it is up to you to decide what you want to capture. The two women were pointing their smartphone cameras in different directions. Watching them, I felt that the act of taking a picture itself is as personal as the act of looking at the scenery.
