Although it was not busy, there were boats selling foodstuffs on the canal. This place was the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. However, it didn't mean that all the people doing business on boats. There were also shops, cafes, and restaurants on the land along the canal.
Watching the canal, a rowboat appeared in front of me. An older woman wearing a big hat called ngob was pulling it. Various fruits were displayed on her boat. I could see mangoes, rambutans, mangosteens, and others. It was a mobile fruit shop.
The boat loading fruits moved slowly. And it passed by a shop built on the land. By way of contrast to the boat, the shop didn't sell foodstuffs. It sold souvenirs, for example, a small Buddha statue.
Anyway, both shopkeepers seemed to nothing to do. One shopkeeper was on her phone and the other rowed her boat with an expression of boredom.
