People working in this floating market made small talk
There were not many tourists, so there was a calm atmosphere at the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. The people were also relaxed. Walking along the canal where the market is open, I often see locals who have nothing better to do.
When I came to a small dock, I saw a tourist boat docked there. But no one was getting on board. The only people on the boat were boatmen waiting for their guests to arrive.
In the meantime, another boat pulled up alongside the rickety boat. This one was a boat carrying fruit for sale to tourists. As soon as the boat pulled up alongside, the woman on the boat started talking to the boatman who was waiting for customers. Both of them must have been bored because there were not many tourists. They started small talk. I did not understand what they were talking about, but after a while, the woman threw a piece of fruit she was selling to the boatman. The woman seemed to owe the boatman something.
