I came to a Buddhist temple called Wat Traimit in Chinatown. It seems that many overseas Chinese living in Bangkok are Buddhists. In other Chinatowns, there is often a magnificent Guan Yin Temple dedicated to Guan Yu, but in Bangkok's Chinatown, there seem to be many Buddhist temples.
The main hall of Wat Traimit is built on top of a hill, so I climbed the stairs to get to the hall. It is unexpectedly small, and a golden Buddha statue sits in the center. The high location of the main hall was a bit cool with a breeze blowing through.
I could see skyscrapers through the windows. As I gazed blankly, a woman appeared in the window frame. The pony-tailed woman was silhouetted in the backlight. A small Buddha statue just behind her was also silhouetted. The hand that was holding the seal was gently reaching forward, as if it were trying to surreptitiously touch the woman's ponytail.
