Entered a lane I found during walking, I got inside a residential area. The narrow street ran between the dwellings. When I came to one of the houses, I met the woman in this photo. Asking for taking some photos, she stood in front of me. She wore a pink shirt and painted Thanaka not only her face but also her arm. Apparently, she painted all the parts of her body which were exposed.
It was said that people painted Thanaka as a sunscreen. So she was apparently hesitant to get a tan. However, her skin was naturally brown. I thought it was impossible to get browned much further for her. She seemed to be Indian Burmese. In fact, a bindi which was an evidence of Hinduist was seen between her eyebrows.
