Buildings lined the street as far as the eye could see, not just on both sides of the road

Looking down on the cityscape from the observation deck of the Bunkyo Civic Center, a curving stretch of road caught my eye. It should be a wide road with two lanes on each side, but from the 25th floor, it looks like a thin line. Even the occasional car driving on it was small, as if it were a model.

The road is lined with buildings not only on both sides, but also behind them, and the ground is covered with man-made structures. Ahead of the road are a number of skyscrapers, among them the Sunshine 60, once the tallest building in the East. Its imposing appearance seemed to quietly testify to Tokyo's history and prosperity.
