I was walking through a residential area in Kuala Lumpur. Low-rise houses lined both sides of the road I was walking on, and a relaxed atmosphere was in the air. The atmosphere was quite different from the skyscrapers on the other side of the straight road. This city is the capital and largest city of Malaysia, but not far from the center of the city where the skyscrapers are lined up, there is a relaxing residential area.
Among the skyscrapers stretching toward the sky, the two buildings with the pointed tips are the Petronas Twin Towers. When they were completed, they were the tallest buildings in the world. Unfortunately, it was the tallest building in the world for only five years, giving way to Taipei 101, which was completed in 2003. Taipei 101 was also surpassed by Dubai's Burj Khalifa in 2010. It seems to be a tough job to keep the title of world's tallest building.
