Outside the window was the urban landscape of Tokyo. This is the Bunkyo Civic Center, the ward office of Tokyo's Bunkyo Ward, which was built in 1994, when the afterglow of the bubble economy was still strong in the city, and features a luxurious structure that includes a ward assembly and a theater.
The Bunkyo Civic Center has an observation lounge on the 25th floor. This photo was taken from the observation lounge, looking through the window. The view from here is outstanding because there are no tall buildings around. Admission is free, and with few visitors, it is a quiet and secluded spot.
Overlooking the window, the ground is lined with countless buildings, spread out low as if they were crawling on top of each other. Beyond them, the Tokyo Skytree looms majestically in the distance. The moon hovering silently above it added a subtle elegance to the urban landscape of Tokyo.
