A typhoon was approaching the northern Philippines. It was raining heavily in Banaue. I didn't feel like going out in this kind of weather. So I was relaxing in the hotel when suddenly the room went completely dark. It was a blackout.
There was no point in sitting around in the dark, so I went out onto the balcony. The rain was pouring down, and I could see the town in the distance. There was a river flowing right next to the hotel, and there were buildings along the river. At a glance, it looked like a Japanese hot spring resort. In such bad weather, I saw a figure crossing the bridge with an umbrella.
