I was walking through a residential area near Yangon's central station. The only people coming and going on the street were locals. I walked along at a leisurely pace, passing the locals as I went. After walking for a while, I noticed the door of a house on the side of the street was wide open. I stopped in front of it and got a good view of the inside. There were a lot of boys gathered there. The small room was full of boys. Apparently, they were all studying together.
I could see some boys with their textbooks open on their desks, so maybe it was some kind of cram school. But that doesn't mean that everyone is studying hard. There are children everywhere who do not like to study. Some of the boys probably gather here just because their friends are coming.
The boy in the middle of the photo must be one of them. The boy, without a textbook or writing utensils in his hand, reclined on the back of his friend and relaxed. When he saw my camera, he smiled at me.
