Stepping Stones In The Lane

Stepping stones in residential area

The local people and animals came and went on the stepping stones

Shot in the city of Yangon, Myanmar.

Entered an alleyway in the residential area. The shabby houses stood side by side. The ground was unpaved and muddy. The drain seemed to empty slowly here and it was common to be wet. So the stepping stones were placed along the lane not to walk on the muddy ground. Walked over the stepping stones one by one. I felt as if I was in a Japanese garden. The local people also walked on the stones. And the animals also walked in the same way.

In the meantime, a stray dog came from over there. Since I was taken a lick by a stray dog in Bangkok last year, I didn't want to meet any dogs during traveling. At that time, I learned it had a risk of acquiring rabies just by being licked a wound site. And I had many scratches on my body. However, the dog had no way of knowing my fear. It came close to me with a completely innocent look.
