Big Signboards In The Passage

Signboard in Tsukiji Market

The signboards revealed existence of themselves

Shot at Tsukiji Market in Tsukiji, Tokyo.

Many signboards were hung in the deserted passage. It was a non-working day and I couldn't feel the bustling while walking around. Yet the signboards were making an appeal of their existences as usual.

Most of them were written in Japanese with Chinese characters. People in this country seemed to think the adopted words were much cooler than Japanese. Yet there were no shop names which were written with imported words here. The old fashioned market suited to the traditional name.
