A young man was carefully taking care of his knife, the tool of his trade
It was still mid-morning, but many of the stores in Tsukiji's market had already started closing up store. The middlemen had been working since early in the morning, so they had already done their work for the day. Even if they stay open any longer, no customers will come, and even if they do, they will probably only be tourists like me.
A store I passed was just closing up store. A young man wearing sunglasses was cleaning his knife, a tool of the trade, in front of his store. He was probably preparing for tomorrow. A skilled craftsman takes good care of his tools.
