The Tsukiji inner market was deserted
In contrast to the bustling Tsukiji outer market, the Tsukiji inner market was quiet. The market was closed today because it was the weekend. The market was closed for the weekend, and all the shops were closed. I couldn't see the lively market on this day.
The place where I was wandering around was crowded with shops. Signs were posted here and there on the aisles. So many people do business here. But today, when the market is closed, there is hardly a soul in sight.
If the shops were unorganized and abandoned, one would think that I was walking through an abandoned building. It was a bit of a surreal sight.
