People were sitting on a bench on the platform at Tainan station

I came to the train station to go to Chiayi. I arrived at the station earlier than expected and wandered around the spacious platform. The platform of Tainan station is very long. Even if a tremendously long train came, it would stop easily. People were waiting for the train to arrive at various places.

Some people were sitting on some benches at one corner of the platform. An old man is staring off into the distance, his hand resting on his cane. The woman sitting next to him was peering intently at her phone screen. Each seemed to be spending their own time quietly.

The entire platform was quiet, and the serenity in the air was pleasant. Everyone was waiting for the train to arrive without any hurry. The whole space seemed to be filled with a relaxed rhythm.

On that note, I heard that the platform is called a “moon stage” in Chinese. The sound of it seemed somewhat poetic, and I repeated the word in my mind for a while.
