The building in the photo was Sanshin Building built in 1929. From 1945 to 1950 during the Occupation of Japan, It had been condemned by the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers. When I entered into the building, I found it had a low ceiling. And it reminds me its long history. At the same time, I wondered whether the people of the occupation forces could walk without hitting their head. I thought it was too low for the westerner.
Unfortunately, the building was demolished in 2007.
