Many cars were parked on a main street in Yangon. A large building stood along the road. It was Yangon General Hospital. I could see a lot of people on the grounds, and it was crowded. It is not a good thing, but it seems that many people come to this general hospital.
Wherever people gather, people looking to do business also gather, and there were many street vendors near the hospital. The woman in the photo is one of them and sells kun, betel leaf with areca nuts. I don't know if patients who come to the hospital are allowed to chew kun or not, but kun can be addictive. So maybe they cannot stop buying it so easily.
A large bucket was placed on the desk of the kun seller. There was a white liquid inside. This must be water with lime dissolved in it. Kun is sold by putting betel leaves on top of areca nuts, and then coating them with lime water.
