All the alleys in the residential area near Yangon Central Station were very narrow. Of course, four-wheeled vehicles could not pass through. Even two-wheeled vehicles are not wide enough to pass through. This area was not designed to allow cars to enter. To begin with, there is probably no city plan for this area. Alleys and houses are built in a disorderly manner. I was walking in such a trashy atmosphere.
Various things were placed in front of every house. The alley was a mess. Laundry was drying under the eaves, and many plastic containers were placed next to the front door. Some houses even had umbrellas hanging down. The alley was wet from the rain that had been pouring down just a few minutes earlier, and people were beginning to move back and forth through the alley as if the rain had stopped. Dogs were also beginning to wander the alley. I could see the dog at the end of the alley where I was walking. I hesitated, wondering if I should continue on in the direction of the dog.
