Although this temple became a major tourist attraction, it also functioned as a religious place. Among many tourists like me, some Buddhist monks walked around the precinct. The highlight of this famous temple is the pointed pagoda, which was built on the riverside of the Chao Phraya river.
I wandered around looking for the place where I could take a nice photo of the pagoda. And I stopped in the middle of the lane and held my gear. The place was located in the back of the entrance. So not so many tourists were there. While I watched my viewfinder, I waited for any monks appearing into the lane. In the meantime, two monks wearing an orange Kasaya came into the path. And I released the shutter silently.
By the way, the scene of the novel, 'The Temple of Dawn' written by Yukio Mishima, is laid in this temple.
