Monk Walking The Approach

Buddhist monk walking precinct

A Buddhist monk was walking alone

Shot at Zojo-Ji, a Buddhist temple in Shiba, Tokyo.

I was standing on the top of the staircase and watching the worshipers walking the approach. A big wooden gate built in 1622 was seen at the end of the approach. In the meantime, I found a Buddhist monk walking.

He wore a kasaya and was heading for the main hall. Yet I thought he came here not just to offer prayers. This place could be a working place for him. I wondered if it was the reason. His expression seemed to be severe.
