A big Buddhist stupa which was covered with gold stood in the center of the precinct. According to legend, it was built originally in the 3rd century.
It was shining under the sky and distinguished itself because there were no tall architectures around it. This architecture is a national symbol and it was depicted on the national emblem of this country. The sky was blue. And it went best with the color of this stupa.
