Two cyclos were parked under a roadside tree in My Tho. Cyclos are bicycle cabs common in Vietnam and Cambodia. In Vietnam, especially in provincial cities, gasoline-powered cabs are not common. Most ordinary citizens use bicycle cabs powered by human power, as shown in the photo. Even though there are oil fields in the country, cabs themselves are probably still expensive in Vietnam.
When I turned my attention to the cyclo under the roadside trees, I saw a wheelman relaxing on top of the cyclo. When they noticed my camera, they gave me a peace sign. They were cheerful people. It was a hot, lazy afternoon.
