Because an enormous number of pedicab run around the streets in Yangon, I thought there were also a good number of pedicab which bit the ground. So some people had to answer the needs of repairing. The old man in this photo was one of those who addressed the needs. Some pedicabs were parked in front of him and he just repaired them.
He seemed to be a skilled mechanic and worked with a young man who became a follower of him. The young repairman was interested in me for want of occupation. On the other hand, the old repairman was busy. He stared at the wheel and didn't cast an eye on me. Their business seemed to do well. Yet I worried that they had less income as the number of pedicabs came down in this city.
