The main hall rebuilt in 1878 had a cloister. It was made with wood same as the main hall. And I found a young Shinto priest sitting in a corner of it. He wore a traditional costume and a paper was in his hands. He was just reading Shinto prayers which were written on the paper.
I could hear the voice of him from where I stood. Although the prayers were Japanese, I couldn't understand what he prayed for. It was like a cradlesong for me.
